Moosa Award Lecture Its mission is to commemorate late Professor Keun Bae Lee’s contribution to science by sponsoring and organizing the“Moosa Award
Lecture” during the “KSBMB International Conference”, and to contribute to Korea’s scientific progress inbiochemistry and its application.
The Moosa committee is organized to elect 1 internationally renowned lecturer.
Donghun Award Donghun Award was founded in Oct 1997 in the honor of late Ki-Eok Park. It is given to the members who contributedto the progress
in the field of biochemistry and its application through creative research works. Its mission is toempower those members and to
contribute to Korea’s progress in life science.
The winners are elected by the Donghun Committee from those members who produced distinguishing and creative research works in
biochemistry that had contributed to the progress of Korean science. The prize money and otherexpenses are funded from DI Group’s
Dong-il SHIMADZU Corp.’s yearly budget.
Ilchun Award It aims to contribute to the development of Korea's life science field by awarding domestic and foreign researchers who have recently shown excellent research achievements in molecular medicine and giving commemorative lectures.
Sasuk Aawrd This award was enacted according to the professor Kyung-soo Hahm’s volition to congratulate young scientists who had achieved
outstanding research works in the field of biochemistry and molecular medicine.
Macrogen Woman Scientist Award In order to empower and invigorate the research works by distinguished females in science and technology, this award was founded in
May 2005. The award committee elects two female candidates among PhD holders who demonstrated excellent research worksand of
Korean citizen - by evaluating their research works, recommendations and resumes, after which the final winner is elected. This award is
funded by Macrogen Inc. sponsorship.
BMB Reports Awards In order to encourage active research works and to improve the level of academic journals of the members, the“Achievement Award of
paper”, “Most Citation Paper Award”, and “Most Number of Paper Award” are presented.
The “Achievement Award of Paper” is presented to the member of the Korean Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, by the
order of the number of quotes made by the BMB Reports of the SCI papers published, co-authored and lead in last year by these
members.
The “Most Citation Paper Award” is presented to the member whose co-authored academic journals most quoted by the SCI and
SCIE journals in last 3 years, along with medals and prizes.
The “Most Number of Paper Award” is awarded to the members who had lead more than 3 published journals in BMB Reports, along
with medals and prizes.
The winner is elected by the award committee based on the supporting materials. The nominees are given the final approval by
the board.
EMM Awards In order to encourage active research works and to improve the level of academic journals of the members, the“Achievement Award of
paper”, “Most Citation Paper Award”, and “Most Number of Paper Award” are presented.
The “Achievement Award of Paper” is presented to the member of the Korean Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, by the
order of the number of quotes made by the EMM of the SCI papers published, co-authored and lead in last year by these members.
The “Most Citation Paper Award” is presented to the member whose co-authored academic journals most quoted by the SCI and
SCIE journals in last 3 years, along with medals and prizes.
The “Most Number of Paper Award” is awarded to the members who had lead more than 3 published journals in EMM, along with
medals and prizes.
The winner is elected by the award committee based on the supporting materials. The nominees are given the final approval by
the board.
Chungsan Award This award was enacted to commemorate Professor Bong Seop Shin’s outstanding contribution to the progress of the society and it is
presented to scientists from both Korea and abroad who had achieved outstanding research works in the field of Molecular Medicine
or who had contributed significantly to Experimental Molecular Medicine (EMM) Journal.
GHBIO-KSBMB Award GHBIO and this award have been established and implemented since 2022 to encourage new scientists' research activities and support their activities.
SHIMADZU Next Generation Leader Award It was established through the sponsorship of Shimadzu Scientific Korea Corp. and has been awarded since 2019 to next-generation life science leaders and encourages research activities and morale.
Takara Award In order to encourage outstanding students in the field of life science, it was established under the sponsorship of Takara Korea Biomedical Inc. and has been awarded since 2020.
